RIYADH: The Saudi Crown Prince has taken a historic step to establish new cities in the kingdom.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Prince Mohammed bin Salman has established the Downtown Company for development projects, under which new cities and multi-purpose settlements will be built in the kingdom.
The company is set up to promote large business partnerships, working with investors and the private sector to build infrastructure for new cities.
Under the Downtown Company, new investment opportunities will be provided in the areas of marketing, business, tourism, entertainment and settlement.
Under this company, mega projects will be undertaken in 12 cities including Madinah Munawara, Al Khobar, Al Ahsa, Burida, Najran, Jizan, Hail, Baha, Arar, Taif Dumta Al Jandal and Tabuk, covering 10 million square meters in these cities. area will be developed on modern lines and new projects of modern style will be launched.
The concept of these new projects will be derived from different regions of Saudi Arabia and their culture and the construction work will be according to the latest standards, taking full advantage of the experiences in different areas and modern science.
Due to these projects, employment opportunities will also be created for the citizens of different areas of the state. It should be noted that the mission of the Saudi Crown Prince is to give a new look and color to all areas of the kingdom.
