The World Bank has said that remittances to Pakistan may fall by 7.3%.
The World Bank report said that Pakistan is likely to receive $29 billion in 2022 compared to $31 billion last year.
According to the World Bank, between January and September, the value of the Pakistani rupee has fallen by 36 percent against the dollar. Eight million people in Pakistan were displaced by the floods, including Afghan refugees.
Remittances to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are also expected to decline, according to reports. Remittances to India are expected to touch $100 billion this year.
